Benchmark hurdle in which ANDY WIN (1) has to spot all rivals at least 2.5kg, but it's worth noting that he is the only runner in the race who has won over the jumps. Broke his maiden at Warrnambool, when he defeated Mr Waterville, who has won a couple since, and pushed another classy type in Ongatiti at his only start since. UNTETHERED (3) was only narrowly beaten in a couple of maiden hurdles before having a spin around at Swan Hill last weekend and he's much better suited here. ARDAKAN (4) has done himself no favours the way he's jumped late in the piece in recent hurdle races, but he should be getting better with experience and is good enough to win this if he jumps cleanly. THE VOCALIST (2) has been beaten a long way by Andy Win at two of his past three, but was a good second the run in between and if he reproduces that form he can feature. THE CLAIMANT (5) might be best of the rest and can sneak a place if things work out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Andy Win to win.
