Just a modest tempo anticipated. DUKE OF CLARENCE (2) improved last time out, finishing 2.25 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 1715m at Geelong. Finds a suitable assignment and can take the next step and salute. HE'S ON SONG (4) is a talented gelding who tackled tougher grade last time, finishing 9 lengths behind Silvasista in the VRC St Leger. Had been right around the mark in similar races to this at his previous few starts, so no reason he won't be again. CRACKEROFANIGHT (1) was lining up for just the second time last start when third over 2000m at Stawell, beaten 10 lengths. Will drift back but wind up late. Top chance this line-up. MISS DELIGHTFUL (8) has been building in three runs to date this campaign and is ready for the step up to 2000m. FEAR NO ONE (3) was in a rearwards position on the turn last time out before finishing 4 lengths back in seventh over 1600m at Swan Hill. This looks a nice race so expect him to finish closer. SUGGESTED PLAY: Duke Of Clarence to win.
