Monty Zoomer has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. LADY NEGRONI (3) was racing well before tackling the Provincial Final last time out where she was well beaten. Back to a more suitable race here for Staples and in a race that looks to set up strongly. Can get back to winning ways today in what looks a very suitable race. SCOTTISH LAIRD (2) finished off strongly here last week and can sit a touch closer today with Faithfull getting back in the saddle. Back in grade again now helps his chances and he makes plenty of appeal. RIVERCREST MAGIC (9) bounced back to winning ways last start over 1625m. She comes back in trip today off a short break and Nottle hopping on board now is a good push for her chances. Can make an impression. MONTY ZOOMER (1) was too good from the front last time out and is a winner at this track and trip previously. Can repeat the dose back in trip. MILITARY ACTION (4) can go one better without surprising. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lady Nergroni gets the nod.
