GOING: S(5)

OAMARU CLUB 1600m

Track: SOFT 5     True

Genuine pace headed by Lady Bankside who should kick up along the paint. WAY OUT WEST (10) has turned her form around in 2 starts in the South Island, and followed up her fresh success with a hard-fought third as the favourite at Wingatui 2 weeks ago. She has a superior gate this time, and Tina Comignaghi keeps the faith. On top again for us. SPEED DIAL (4) has won her only start on this track, and her last start miss on the poly at Riccarton can be forgiven. She has a good gate, and with a 3kg claim in this easier company, she can bounce back into form. Each way value. STAPHANOS QUEEN (5) has not done much in BM75 company since winning fresh up at Ashburton in April, when making her South Island debut. She is better than that and can make amends back in this company. MAWKEB (9) will be peaking third up, and she is ready to show her best now. Include in all top 4 combos. SUGGESTED PLAY: In an even race, we like Speed Dial and Mawkeb each way.
