J L MODAL (10) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten 1.3 lengths, over 1800m at Niigata Dirt. Ready to win. Sure to go well again. ROSE MEISTER (11) is overdue for a win with five placings from last six appearances, the latest effort a third over 1800m at Niigata Dirt. Useful type who gets his chance. MAD GALE (13) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 2100m at this track, beaten 6 lengths after being in contention on the turn. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. FIGHTER JET (1) was always well back last start at the first run of this campaign and never threatened, finishing sixth over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Winning rider Akihide Tsumura stays aboard. Not to be discounted.
