Expecting Churchill Lane to set a strong tempo off the inside along with Forrest Gump. JIMMY BEANS (3) resumes in what looks an ideal race. He's just found one better in both starts to date, beaten a length by a handy one in town on debut before being sent out $1.60 at Caulfield Heath when just beaten a nose. 1300m is short of his best but he might just be too good for these. FORREST GUMP (2) resumes off nearly 2 years which is always a concern, formerly with Waterhouse & Bott. That said, his three runs back in 2024 read very well for this, the late betting will be key there. POWERING AWAY (4) just found one better first up at Mildura, his fourth minor placing from as many starts. He should strip fitter and prove hard to hold out late. DIVINE STRIDES (19) didn't handle the heavy track on debut at Moe but was heavily bet there and could turn things around quickly. SWIFT ENDORSEMENT (6) presents third up and ready to fire, respecting each way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Jimmy Beans to win.
