Genuine tempo with Sideshow Frankie and Turn Me Royale pressing for the lead. SMART MISSION (3) resumed much improved winning a 60 at Rockhampton and then was heavily bet there both starts after, missing a nose over this distance 7-days ago. Peaks and is ready to win for Rockhampton's top barn. RASHFORD (2) switched from a Brisbane stable and looked a run short over 1400m at Townsville, freshened a month. The fellow has raced well in metro company and is well placed at best. The extra metres suit and Cormack is off the above to ride. Expect him to hit the line hard and threaten. A gap then to FIRST MAN (8) who presents third-up and from the inside barrier he can get a late split and some of the minor cash. TURN ME ROYALE (5) came from the back and just missed this track/trip in easier grade. Needs a good ride but won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Smart Mission to win.
