Genuine tempo from Better Be Ready leading La Petite Maison. FLYING ANIMO (6) was outgraded at Rockhampton last time but his heavily bet form prior stacks right up for this. Led and just missed here two starts back and he's won 2/4 over this shorter trip. He can bounce right back. BETTA THAN PRESLEY (2) resumed with a strong on-speed win over this journey at Rockhampton. Has switched from a Gold Coast yard and hasn't missed a beat. Fitter and shapes as a key contender. LA PETITE MAISON (1) just missed this track/trip three back and was close up in a 65 at Townsville last time. Cormack is a positive jockey booking and he's capable of making the finish. FIVE STAR KING (7) runs along and has switched from a Victorian yard on a 61-day return. May need one, but the extra gear comes off, and his early form stacks right up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Flying Animo.
