Despite the small field Early Fusion, Booming Lad and Master Montaro can set a decent tempo. OUTSMARTED (8) drifted back last start before storming home to score by a long neck over 1200m at Townsville. Peaks and tumbles in weight at this level. That brings him right into it and st his first go here, he can go on with the job. PARADE GROUND (7) just missed this grade/trip second-up racing forward. He's won 2/2 third-up and from the inside barrier will get every chance to go one better. EARLY FUSION (3) resumed on the same day over 1000m at this level and led them up tiring late. He has won 2/4 second-up and 3/3 this course and distance. Uses an inside barrier and is sure to give a big sight. MASTER MONTARO (1) is third-up and always puts in. The extra metres suit and he can't be ruled out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Outsmarted to win.
