Brumal is the likely leader at a strong tempo.
SAXON SPIRIT (9) started favourite on debut last start over 1110m at Doomben but couldn't muster any early pace before winding up late to just miss the placings. Far better placed out to this trip on a roomier track. Can improve enough to take this out. KICKUP ROCKY (3) resumed in the same race as Saxon Spirit and was impossible to miss, coming from last to be beaten just half a length in an excellent return. Will race closer from a better draw over a bit more ground and looms as the obvious danger. MOMOKA (7) overcame an awkward jump to get up for third on debut in Saturday metro company recently. That form will stack up favourably, with a wide alley the only negative. MURKADO (1) came from a minute back on straightening to just get the cash as $2.30 public elect over this course and distance last start. Progressive type who can win again despite giving weight to all his rivals. BRUMAL (2) is back in class today and can improve on the modest effort last time out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Saxon Spirit on top in a good race.
