Expecting Wasabi Barbie to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint trip. THE BARBER (1) settled back before coming home strongly to score on debut over 1200m at Rockhampton a week ago. Sure to be further improved and can make it back-to-back wins. WASABI BARBIE (2) showed enough early doors to consider third-up. Looked a run short first up at Rockhampton backed off the map and was then outgraded in a rich Classic QTIS 2yo Plate at the track. Expect sharp improvement in this company. DAZZLING GEISHA (4) is third up and can show more for the top Rockhampton yard. Was well bet the latest but over-raced on speed. Will be ridden more quietly today on a 7-day return. BLESSED BOOM (3) won here this grade over 1100m and can build on that. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Barber can go on with it.
