Off the inside draw Best Eagle should boot up and lead at a solid tempo. HE IS THE KISS (15) recorded a phenomenal 22nd minor placing when a closing second over 1200m at the Gold Coast last start. Fifteen of those placings have come on rain affected ground. Should enjoy getting out over an extra 200m today. Looks a chance for those brave enough. BASSETT'S CHOICE (16) led for the judge but found one better in the closing stages over 1300m at the Gold Coast last time out. Failed to let down on a heavy track the run prior which is concerning. A chance if she can get through this going. TRIP HAZARD (4) appreciated the step up to 1200m when an eye-catching second on a soft track at the Gold Coast recently. Big chance at his first try over today's journey. KING COBAMA (10) has been safely held in his two runs this prep, both in town. Fitter and draws well for a change so watch for a much better run. KOJAK (2) returns from a 20-week spell. Best of three runs in the maiden campaign was on a heavy surface which is encouraging. SUGGESTED PLAY: He Is The Kiss each-way.
