Eismond is expected to cross from a wide draw and lead. EISMOND (2) showed good early pace over 2000m at Stawell when resuming last time and kept going to score by 1.3 lengths in Maidens. The import brought strong form from Japan and can race forward. With the extra fitness, he's well placed to get the chocolates. THEODOR (4) has been racing in much better class in town. He's been plain in his last two but his efforts prior stack right up. Maps for a soft run and can improve switching back off the latest to a middle distance. FIORA BLUE (3) led and just missed over 1800m at Clare first-up and then found a 62 over 2000m at Murray Bridge a stretch too far second-up. Will present fitter and is much better placed. She can bounce back into the finish.
CROWN AND ANCHOR (1) bounced straight back winning a 60 over 1800m at Clare and followed that with a narrow defeat this trip in a 60 at Naracoorte. He will get a soft run from the inside gate and also deserves consideration. SCENIC HOST (6) went close in the same race after settling back. SUGGESTED PLAY: Eismond can win and go on.
