Expecting Ace Of Lace to set a genuine tempo after crossing from wide out. DEMI GOD (5) rattled home to score impressively here on Christmas Eve when last sighted at this venue. He’s been less effective on rain-affected tracks against stronger opposition since, but the freshen and return to firmer footing look ideal. THE MAGNET (12) stretched out nicely late to break his maiden at Orange and now gets King for the Baker yard - a combination that usually pays its way. FOURTHTIMELUCKY (6) has been knocking on the door for a while and gets another genuine chance to break through. Draws the pole, which should see him stalking the speed and just needing the split at the right time. BRUTAL BELLE (11) has let punters down in her past two but hasn’t run poorly, and the form around her is red hot. She has the talent, though the draw is sticky. BOMERTON (18) was a barnstorming winner at Gundagai and while the gate is awful, Schiller going on is a big tick. If they overdo it up front, he’ll be launching late. INNA ZOU (16) is also worth keeping an eye on. SUGGESTED PLAY: Demi God each-way & saving on The Magnet to win.
