Bear On The Loose has good gate speed and can overcome the wide alley to lead. Siding with the luckless STAR OF INDIA (3) in the Cup. He was building beautifully into the G3 JRA Plate before being chopped out at a crucial moment, losing all momentum yet still picking up again through the line. That’s the mark of a horse that's flying. If Schofield can have him closer, he’ll be hard to stop. TRAVOLTA (2) is ticking along superbly but just hasn’t landed the killer blow. He made his run alongside SOI in the JRA Plate but had the clean passage and got very close. Berry draws sweetly and will have him looming ominously. QUIETNESS (5) gets a lovely pull in the weights and should be right at her peak now fourth up. The stable has always had a strong opinion of her and she looks more than capable of measuring up. BEAR ON THE LOOSE (6) is the obvious pace influence and will ensure they don’t dawdle. He’s caught them napping before and could easily do it again if left alone. FLYING BANDIT (8) returns to defend his crown and deserves respect. SUGGESTED PLAY: Star Of India gets the nod.
