Genuine tempo with Saxon Jewel and Icandoit Onmyown pressing for the lead. Competitive. SAXON JEWEL (5) races forward and brings two narrow defeats from York and Belmont last time over this trip. Comes back two levels in grade and has a handy 2kg claim. Led from a wide gate last time and will push forward again. Tough to beat. ROSENTREA (3) just missed at Ascot, building on her first-up Maiden win at this track, before a solid enough effort at Ascot over 1400m. Peaks now, and the step-up to 1600m is likely to suit. Finally draws an inside barrier, and Pike is a key jockey switch for the 2kg apprentice. SKY POET (1) debuted with a win here and then tackled a CL3 at Belmont and didn't do a bad job considering, beaten 2.8L after settling at the back of the field. Better placed, and the 1600m should suit. KAZANA (8) has reasonable support at Belmont over this trip and didn't have the best of it. Is still well shy of her best and can show a lot more today. SUGGESTED PLAY: Saxon Jewel appeals most.
