Plenty of first starters engaged which muddies the map a little. It is fair to assume a keen tempo. Tricky race to kick off the card with many of these babies facing the starter for the first time. Of the raced brigade BODMIN MOOR (2) was well supported on debut but just missed the frame on that occasion. Hoop Harley sticks in the irons and where there's smoke there's fire. Can improve sharply with that run now under the belt. Connections has such a high opinion of KICKUP ROCKY (4) that they kept him at Group and Listed level in his first campaign. Certainly wasn't disgraced in both efforts and is sure to find this grade easier. Looms as the main danger. MONARCHAL (5) just ran into one better first time at the races before being tipped out for further time to furnish. Tuned up for this with a recent trial and can run a race while fresh. SAXON SPIRIT (11) is on debut but has shown ability at the trials and gets in well at the weights with the claim. Keep very safe. The well-related BACIAMI (1) (half to 2xG3 winner Panova) best of the rest. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 2,4,5,11.
