Laser Beam and Too Darn Sweet possess good early speed. TOO DARN SWEET (7) is still a maiden, but this BM60 field is very modest to say the least. She has the pace to lead from her perfect inside gate, and even without any public trials, she is the one to beat fresh for us. RUNNINWITHTHEDEVIL (6) resumed from a spell at Tauranga in February, and just ran out of condition over the final stages, finishing near the rear. He has been kept back from some wet tracks, and it is encouraging to see Craig Grylls keep the ride. Don't risk him in this field. BAD EDUCATION (3) ran his best race last prep when fresh up, and he won't find many easier fields than this. He benefits from a 2kg claim, and as a winner of 5 races, he can't be taken lightly in this field. SILKDEGREES (5) needed her fresh run at Pukekohe 2 weeks ago, and if she doesn't need this run as well, then she can improve sharply. Include. CAST OF DIAMONDS (1) resumes from a spell over a trip that is well short of his best, but watch for him late. Include in all top 4 combos to be safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Too Darn Sweet to win.
