Plenty of pace evident with Superset and Persian Caviar leading the way from Conflict and Empressive Enuff. The second of our apprentice only races and keen to stick with BEL MEZYAAN (2) who is seven weeks between runs but progressing very nicely, a winner of his past two, rising from 1200m to 1500m to win at Sandown Hillside last time out. Back to 1200m here off a nice little tickover trial looks a good recipe and he can prove too strong late. CONFLICT (3) has won both starts this time in, heavily backed last start at Kilmore and coming away to win well having also trotted in fresh. He can go right on with it now. PERSIAN CAVIAR (9) ran well fresh here behind some handy types at BM70 level and can improve off that with WA apprentice Holly Nottle booked to ride from a good draw. SNAPSHOT (8) was heavily backed at Corowa last time and might improve out to 1200m now. SUPERSET (1) is going well and has each-way claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bel Mezyaan to win.
