Despite the small field Wanganella, Hold Me Tight and Pretty As Sin can set a strong tempo. WANGANELLA (6) is a touch unlucky to still be a maiden after finishing a narrowly beaten second at Pukekohe a fortnight ago, and a wide gate might be an advantage if the track is deep. She is overdue, and can go one better here. MOONBEAMS (7) battled away gamely for fourth on a heavy track at Pukekohe 2 weeks ago over 1400m, and the extra 200m will suit her. She normally races on the pace, and if the fence is playing fair, then she is a must for all combinations. MORE BLISS (8) was put aside after a couple of big runs in the spring, and then resumed with a bold effort for second when racing a lot more handily than usual. The extra 200m is ideal, and her first win is not far away. SATONO STAR (4) tried hard when finishing fourth on debut, and the manner in which he hit the line that day augurs well for this longer assignment. Each-way. LAURA (9) has been freshened since a modest effort over 2200m at Te Aroha nearly 6 weeks ago. Don't drop her yet, especially on her home track. SUGGESTED PLAY: More Bliss each-way.
