Many of these youngsters step out for the first time so a strong pace is anticipated. Waller has a strong hand. His Snitzel colt NATIONS LEAGUE (2) cost a packet at the yearling sales but didn't launch his career as hoped back in December when next to last over 1100m at Randwick. Won a trial by a good space at Rosehill on 2 April. Worth another chance this time around. PEYTON (8) had no luck in the early stages but managed to dust himself off and finish third over 1100m at the Kensington track recently. Has the race experience edge on most of these and with even luck can play a significant role. Waller has put McDonald on Switzerland's full-brother ST GOTTHARD (3) ahead of a few stablemates for his debut. Placed in a couple of recent trials. Will certainly be popular with rank-and-file punters. LAFITE (1) is a full-brother to Group 1 winner Schwarz on debut. Another Waller representative who is going okay at the trials and should attract interest. TOO HOT TO HANDLE (5) was well held on debut but has been given some time and can improve. SUGGESTED PLAY: A small bet on Nations League.
