In the absence of noted leaders, Otago and Enchanted Jenni may be the ones to set a moderate tempo. Siding with OTAGO (1) who looks much better placed coming back to 1600m here having struggled when last seen over 2000m at Flemington and has since been given a let-up. He just missed the race prior over this trip at Pakenham in BM70 company which reads well and we get arguably the best apprentice in this race for apprentices only in Luke Cartwright. ENCHANTED JENNI (3) hasn't fired her past couple and is another to come here fresh. Her form late last year would have her as one of the hardest to beat, look for an improved run. CARDI BEE (7) is coming off an easy win on heavy ground at Pakenham, the margin a bit inflated there given the testing ground but it was dominant all the same. She can go on with it. MOVE THE TORANA (9) is racing well and should be strong at the end of a mile while TORN (5) is in form and the Sir Atlas form from two back reads very nicely. SUGGESTED PLAY: Otago to win.
