Plenty of speed with Jakama Krystal, Doctor Iris and Teen Titan leading Renegade Fighter and Uhtred. SMALL TOWN GIRL (3) did not see out 2100m at Trentham when finishing eighth as the favourite there just over 3 weeks ago. She revels in heavy ground, and dropping back to 1600m in a weaker field will suit her. Follow your money. BEETLEGEUSE (4) caught the eye with a solid finish for sixth at Trentham 18 days ago. He will relish the extra 200m, and he is peaking third up from a spell. Each-way. DID THE TRICK (8) had to work too hard to find the front at Trentham in the same race as the second pick, and he folded up in the run home. He has plenty in his favour this time, and all of his form has been on heavy tracks. Stick with him on an each-way basis. AIR DANCER (7) raced too keenly in front at Whanganui 9 days ago over 2040m. He is rock-hard fit, and with the drop back to 1600m, he can turn his last run right around. Include in all top 4 combos. UHTRED (2) is better known over hurdles these days, but he still retains some dash on the flat, and in this sort of field, he has a chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Small Town Girl should be the one to beat.
