ALERO (1) improved quickly when easily winning a 66 at Sandown-Hillside before leading beaten 1.5L here over a bit shorter. Draws an inside gate and has a 4kg claimer aboard in lesser grade. The 1400m will suit and he has the numbers to win. Maher-trained stablemate STAY SILENT (3) is a leader who won a 66 at Sale followed by a 1L defeat here over 1400m in the same grade. He will also present at peak and is sure to give a big sight. MARLION'S DREAM (10) came from the back here first up missing a 62 by a length. He's won twice second-up and over this course/distance. He will finish hard and can get into the money. Ditto VADERLEE (8), who continues to race well. Improved when just pipped over 1300m at Cranbourne last time. SUGGESTED PLAY: Alero to win.
