WIN VERTEX (3) won his maiden three starts back and is nearing another victory with placings at his last two runs, most recently when third over 1400m at this track. Among the leading chances. NIHONPIRO REACH (4) proved too strong two runs ago but couldn't follow that up last time out when fourth over 1400m here. Has a good record at this course and distance, including five wins. Will enjoy a drop in class so she is a leading contender. HOME RUN BATTER (8) missed the frame when fifth last time out over 1600m here after a win at the previous outing. Yet to miss the frame in three starts over this course and distance. Has the talent to take this out. FEEL MY WAY (2) missed the placings last time out over 1600m at this track. Prior to that had won two races on end. Form this track is hard to knock with two wins from six starts. Deserves respect.
