Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Vermeer. Open race to close out the card. GO MARO (9) stepped up in trip to 2020m last time at Doomben and ran below his best, finishing 4 lengths away in sixth. Kept fresh since that last run so he is right in this contest from the inside marble. GAMBINO (2) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1200m at Eagle Farm, beaten 3.5 lengths. This doesn't look as hard so he can turn things around. EVERY HEART (13) has been just out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when fifth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 1350m at Ipswich after she was prominent at the bend. Has never been out of the placings at the third run in and looks the main danger. ARALETTA (6) progressed nicely last start to finish a close third over 1350m at Ipswich after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Has her share of talent and will prove hard to beat in this suitable race. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Go Maro.
