Solid tempo anticipated with Cosmic Dream heading them off. COSMIC DREAM (10) is a progressive filly who did a bit of work in the running fresh up and still managed to finish third at Te Rapa a fortnight ago. She cops another wide gate, but would only need some cover, to be the one to beat this time. ESTERNAY (7) tried hard, and just needed the run when peaking late, and battling into fifth at Te Rapa nearly a month ago. She has a superior gate this time, and will have no more fitness excuses third up from a spell. Each way. TO THE MAX (5) battled away gamely fresh up here 4 weeks ago when starting from a wide draw, finishing sixth. He has a better gate this time, and an extra 100m will do him no hard. His next win is not far away. TALE OF THE GYPSY (9) ran a much better race for second at Arawa Park last week, and that could be a sign of things to come. Her record here is only modest, but those races were in good company. Don't risk her in this. HAKUSHU (2) is knocking on the door for an overdue win, and a 3kg claim with a good draw help. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cosmic Dream to win, and Esternay at value.
