Good pace from Smart Elan, Remember Sydney and Red Refined going forward. Quite a few live chances in this one. ANOTHER FACE (1) is a two-start maiden who finished fourth, beaten 2.25 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 1800m at Tokyo. Plenty of scope for improvement and is a great chance to break through. VENIZELOS (2) has not raced since her debut on March 7 over 2000m at Nakayama when she finished fourth, beaten 4.5 lengths. Expected to be very competitive. SMART ELAN (3) missed the frame when resuming last start over 2000m at Fukushima but wasn't all that far from the winner. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Should be involved in the finish. ENGLEMAN (6) is a two-year-old colt on debut from the stable of Masayuki Nishimura.
