Many of these two-year-olds step out for the first time so a strong pace is anticipated. RESONANT (1) looks the one to beat on exposed form in the opener. He ran a good race on debut at Bendigo in the Vobis Gold Rush, charging home to grab a narrow second. Can't see 1400m being an issue off that and he should be able to get into the running line around the home bend. AUTUMN CHARM (9) has been right there in both starts to date, running on well to just miss at Ballarat when last seen. She should relish the rise in trip now and take holding out. MENESS (2) is a colt by Ghaiyyath on debut for the Mark Walker yard in the Yulong colours. He's been jumping out well and looks ready to go despite the wide gate. VOLESTAIN (4) is a colt by Zousain on debut for the McEvoy yard who have been striking at a high rate with their 2yos recently. Respecting from a good gate. CENTENARY FLORIN (5) won well on debut at Warrnambool and could measure up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Resonant to win.
