A solid tempo anticipated with Midway and Jet A One ahead of Backinthefastlane and Smart Horse. BACKINTHEFASTLANE (5) improved sharply on his fourth two starts back at Durbanville with success over 1800m at this track four weeks ago, getting home by half a length. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. BALZI ROSSI (6) returned from a spell five-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 5 lengths into seventh over 1800m at this track. Expected to improve sharply. TRIP TO CAMELOT (7) was too good for a maiden field last start over 1600m at Durbanville, scoring by one length. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Harder here but should be involved in the finish. MIDWAY (1) finished fifth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1800m at this track, beaten 4 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish.
