Good pace with Kalmana booting up inside the speedy pair More Than Hope and Sir Castleton. Excellent race including eight last start winners but going with the stronger form of KALMANA (3). Not far away in the Nitschke Stakes two back then only two lengths away at Caulfield latest. Has the claim and this is easier. Can box seat from the rails and expected to go close. GOLDEN GURU (6) is a progressive type who was a winner of his maiden two back then runner-up last time at the provincials. Drops in weight and trip suits with Holder aboard. Hard to hold out. LICENSE TO EXCITE (9) got off the mark at Kerang two back then made it back-to-back wins scoring at Kyneton. Tricky gate but will be winding up late. SIR CASTLETON (8) put the writing on the wall two back then scored a dominant win stepping to 1500m latest. Progressive type who can measure up again. SAYERSITISN'TSO (7) was far too good for maidens fresh and can only be further improved. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kalmana can find winning form.
