Genuine tempo from Cristal Clear leading Victoria Road. Another very strong field will contest the Listed Bernborough Handicap over 1600m for 200K. WELWAL (2) booked his ticket North after winning the G3 Doncaster Prelude at Rosehill 7 weeks ago, and his connections deliberately missed the Doncaster to target this carnival. He has been a proven weight carrier in the past, and he has attracted the services of JMac, which is a strong lead. Hard to beat again, especially if the track is wet. BLINDEDBYTHELIGHT (13) finished a game second at long odds fresh at Rosehill in G2 company, and then was midfield as the favourite at Morphettville 3 weeks ago, again in G2 class. She cops a wide gate, but is worth another chance, so follow your money. KRONENBOURG (7) made the most of the step up to 1600m when flipping his form around with an easy win on a heavy track at Eagle Farm 3 weeks ago. He loves it here, and another bold run is expected, minus the fancy price this time. COTE ATLANTIQUE (8) great chance to break though after a string of placings. SUGGESTED PLAY: Welwal can win this at value.
