A race that lacks early pressure. Tough. ROYAL DISPATCH (4) has been plain at Hobart his last two, but his form here prior reads well. Draws awkwardly but he has a 3kg claim today, and in a race without much early speed may be the one to lead. Gets the nod. ALPINE BLAST (6) didn't manage the 14 gate here last time but missed a nose over a mile at Hobart prior to that. Draws inside this evening and gets in light. He's up to this. Stablemate MONTEZULU (5) also has weight relief in stronger grade and is busting to win. The top hoop rides for the first time and that's a decent push for his chances.
