SAKO (6) ran a strong second two starts back but disappointed when out of the placings over 1200m at Ashburton when he could have needed the run, with it being his first in the South Island. He has not won for some time, but with 3.5kg less to carry, he can bounce back and win this. HOORAY FOR HARRY (7) returns from a three-and-a-half-month break and has been tuned up nicely with two trial placings. He usually takes a run, but with a 2kg claim, he can't be taken lightly. VIVACIOUS (8) hasn’t been seen since failing to measure up in 2 starts during a spring campaign. Bruno Queiroz in the saddle fresh is a positive booking, and she can give this a shake. Check the markets. IRON HAWK (9) resumes from a short spell. He showed plenty of talent when trained in Australia, and he normally comes to hand quickly. Hard to beat, especially if the money comes for him. OUR CLARRY (11) goes fast early, and he showed a lot of guts when winning here 2 weeks ago. Stick with him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sako is the one to beat.
