Strong early tempo with Civic Charles and Scarlet Honey leading the way. ALM CHURCHILL (8) wasn't far off maiden success before a break of three-and-a-half months, finishing the campaign with a minor placing over 1400m at Sonoda. Good effort to open last prep when in the money at Sonoda over 1400m. Set to return in style. CIVIC CHARLES (9) was well in commission when resuming last start over 1500m at this track when fifth. Sota Hijikata who has four wins when partnering stays on. Best form puts him right in this. TOMO COCOA (10) is yet to break through but wasn't far away last time when second over 1400m at this track on February 11. Among the chances again. SCARLET HONEY (1) produced a good run two starts back to finish second but was below par last time when out of the placings at this track over the same trip after she was prominent at the bend. Likely improver with strong prospects.
