A solid tempo on the cards with Flying Brant taking charge. FLYING BRANT (7) was denied narrowly on debut here 10 days ago when missing by a head to a fitter horse. Is sure to have come on from that and will prove much tougher to stop this time. GLOUF (8) couldn't live up to market expectations on debut at Gawler after leaving herself with far too much to do when turning for home but did get going late to finish second. Better for the experience and has jumped out well in between runs. Big threat. DISCREETLY BLUE (1) was good when resuming at Gawler on Jan 3 but was left flat-footed second-up. Draws well and keeps Holder for this third-up assignment. Don't underestimate. ELITE THUNDER (2) has gotten too far back in both returning efforts but could be sharper away this time with the blinkers going on. Toeroek sticks for gun stable. Don't underestimate. Similar story for MAHALER (13). Watch for her launching late if the speed is genuine. SUGGESTED PLAY: Flying Brant to win.
