LANCE OF VENUS (4) strode forward early from her wide draw last start over 1400m at this track then fought on gamely to finish second. Meets a stronger field but she is capable of another big run. SMART SATURN (6) was well in commission last start over 1400m at this track when third. Worth another chance. MEISHO PISUKARI (7) turned in a fine effort to win by 2 lengths at this course and distance last start in a much improved run. Taking on a better line-up this time but he is good enough to play a major role. SMART VENUS (5) strode forward early from her wide draw last start over 1400m at this track only to fade late and finish fourth. Has ability and a bold showing is expected.
