Moderate tempo with Kirchmeyer leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. KIRCHMEYER (5) was heavily supported on debut over 1200m at Ashburton off the back of some good trials, but he failed to deliver when racing greenly throughout. He will be better for the experience, and with Matt Cameron in the irons, he can take this out. Follow your money. LINDY MAY (10) resumed in good order, finishing a solid second over 1200m at Ascot Park after being prominent on the turn. She strips fitter, and this looks a suitable race to go one better. MOMENTO (8) showed early dash when fresh over 1400m at Wingatui, and peaked on her run, fading late to finish seventh, but not far off the placings. She strips fitter, and can figure in the top 3 here. NOVELETTE (11) is an improving maiden who was a solid third in her penultimate start, then she was fourth over 1200m at this track 4 weeks ago. The blinkers go on for the first time, and her first win is not far away. BROWNS WAY (3) won his latest trial easily, and as a 5-year-old, he has been given plenty of time to mature. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kirchmeyer to win this.
