Genuine tempo with the speedy Alpine Whiskey leading the way. KION'S KINGDOM (3) debuts for John Keys and owns two Longford trial wins. Jumps from the inside barrier and looks promising and ready to go in a winnable race. WOOLCLASSER (7) has raced exclusively at Hobart and was a run short over 1100m first-up. Came from the back to just miss his only second-up outing and maps well. Has a 1.5kg claim and is a serious player. ALPINE WHISKEY (1) is a leader knocking on the door. His narrow defeat here two back stacks and he drops back to a shorter sprint. He's going to give a sight. MONCLERE (4) also comes back to 1220m briefly freshened. He's running of chances, but his effort here two back would give him a hope. UNA PALOMA BLANCA (11) picked up well in the straight when beaten 1.75 lengths over 1000m at Hobart. Peaks now and the longer sprint is sure to suit. SUGGESTED PLAY: Kion's Kingdom if the betting indicates stable confidence.
