Solid early tempo with Esquel booting up on the inside while Marilyn's Edge and Nordic Strike follow. NORDIC STRIKE (4) on top. He won two in a row in nice style, tackling a stronger race at Cranbourne last time when well backed in BM70 company, fading from the front there. Back to 1000m looks fine, he can push on and take catching. MARILYN'S EDGE (13) resumes. First up last campaign she was nosed out as a short-priced favourite but she looks to have come back well with a good jumpout win and can run a strong race. POINT MOON (12) is a lightly raced filly who resumed with a strong maiden win at Sale as favourite. No doubt she can improve off that and win again. YEAH RIGHT (8) resumes having gone to the paddock a maiden winner at Pakenham Synthetic. Expect he can progress this time in. TALLINGAS IMMORTAL (10) is flying having won two on the bounce and deserves a shot at this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Nordic Strike.
