A solid tempo anticipated with Backbeat and Lapillus Imeru ahead of K T Kiseki and Shonan Manten. MAGICAL LEIS (2) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just two wins from 21 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fourth over 1400m at this track, beaten 2.75 lengths. Placed to advantage so expect a big run. AL HAYL FORT (4) could only manage seventh two runs back then improved last start when he worked home well but found a couple better over 1400m at this track, beaten 3 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can find the winner's circle. BACKBEAT (8) will strip fitter for this after running below expectations first-up at this track, finishing sixth and beaten 4.5 lengths over 1400m after being prominent at the bend. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. NAATU (9) turned in a fine effort to score by a nose at this course and distance last start which was an improvement on the first-up effort. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run.
