Tempo strong with Bodleian and Patsy Spirit pushing forward. CELTIC BLING (7) broke through last season for a well-deserved maiden win, and has had 2 runs back from a spell this year, finishing fourth over 1400m at Ashburton 12 days ago. She cops a wide gate, but if the track is wet, then it could be a blessing in disguise. On top. BODLEIAN (1) showed good early speed and was a game second behind a smart type over 1400m at Ascot Park last time out. He also has a wide gate, but is good enough to take this out. PATSY SPIRIT (10) hasn’t fired in his past two outings, most recently finishing out of the money over 1200m at this track 4 weeks ago. Stepping up to 1400m is the key this time, and he is worth another chance. Each-way value. WANDERIN SPELLE (3) resumed with a solid second over 1200m at this track, beaten by just over a length. He strips fitter, and has the scope to go on with it here, especially from a superior gate. SUPER SINCERE (5) rattled home from last to score an overdue win at Ashburton. She stays in the same class, so go again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Patsy Spirit each-way.
