Pace only fair with Gee Gees Brother rolling to the lead ahead of Team Heist and Royal Scene. DANDIROSE (5) was easily accounted for at Mornington on debut and then fronted at Hobart over this distance off a 54-day freshen and did a nice job, beaten 2.2L. Settled well back in that and is likely to sit closer today. Sure to have taken improvement and should go close. SH'BOURNE POWER (3) placed 1L ahead of the above in that contest and also ran into it late. Hits this third-up and keeps the handy 3kg claim. Has an awkward gate again but is ready to win. Expect quick improvement from SPECIMEN (4) over the longer sprint. ROYAL SCENE (6) comes out of the Dandirose race beaten less than 2L. Lacks the upside but he's capable of getting into the money. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Dandirose.
