GOING: G(4)

LIQUOR BARONS HANDICAP 1000m

Track: GOOD 4   Clear (Max: 36)   Rail: +9m Entire.

Pace strong with Seastic and Do I Feel Lucky leading with Nice Sort nearby. NEW TARGET (2) was far too good on resumption, settling midfield and landing the knockout blow over this course and distance. She was very impressive there and this looks to set up similarly, with her late splits very impressive last time out. Tougher here, but if she can run up to what she did last time out she'll be hard to beat. DO I FEEL LUCKY (1) is the class horse in the race, contested a BM72+ when fresh last campaign. He comes here without a trial which is the query, though Riordan's claim comes in handy and he does possess some early speed. Can return with a forward showing. MELODY FAIR (4) is on debut for the Trevor Andres stable on the back of a nice trial coming into this. Showed some zip there and this looks a suitable race on debut. Can fire a shot. SEASTIC (3) comes back in trip after a gutsy win over 1200m fresh. Can be in this for a long way. NICE SORT (5) can improve coming back in trip and with the blinkers being applied. SUGGESTED PLAY: New Target can go back-to-back.
