Plenty of first starters engaged which makes it tricky to map, but we can assume a genuine tempo. Tricky race to kick off the card with many of these babies facing the starter for the first time. Of the raced brigade, MISHANI TANGO (9) was big odds at Ipswich on debut but ran above expectations with a solid third on that occasion. Will have derived a stack of benefit from that race day experience and looks the one they all have to run down. YOTEI (6) is on debut but looked handy winning a recent trial and is sure to be well-educated out of the Heathcote barn. Keep very safe. HARD TO EXCEED (2) gets 2kg off with the claim and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Top-three candidate. NAUGHTY NEIL (4) gets the services of Maloney in the irons and can run a big race first-up. METRIC (8) best of the rest despite the wide draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Mishani Tango with race experience on her side.
