Draws soft and should present at peak fitness. Has some worthy competition but can take the next step. BERSERKER (3) improved sharply when narrowly beaten this trip at Hobart and then went back and was even better missing a nose from the front. That stacks right up and he jumps from a low gate with a 1.5kg claim. This looks within his reach. CARNELIAN ROCK (6) spiked his numbers when narrowly beaten over this distance at Hobart. Carries 52kg with the claim and has claims. GEORGARONI (2) has been mixing trips, and last time just went under at Hobart in a 68 over a shorter sprint. He can get into the finish again. COASTAL STRIKE (5) can control the race from this inside barrier and his Hobart effort two back has him in the picture. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Beneficiary.
