Without a designated pacemaker it will probably turn into a dash home. JUST JENNI (5) is going well and looks nicely placed. She's been thereabouts without winning this time in, finding one better at Seymour two back, good again here over 1600m last time in a strong race. Tipping that form holds up and she should be very hard to run down from the inside gate. MR INDEPENDENT (3) broke through for a narrow maiden win at Pakenham last start as a $2.40 favourite, getting home strongly late. He'll have no issue out to 1800m and can go on with it. SUPER SOLAR (2) doesn't win out of turn but Reece Goodwin has him going well. He found the line well at Cranbourne last time and sets up to do similarly here. PHOEBE BUFFAY (4) is going well, a good winner two back and close up again at Seymour latest. This trip should be okay now. BEST TIME (1) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Just Jenni to win.

The start before that 4th of 12 at Yarra Valley Mdn-Sw on January 13 over 1500m, 3.5 len behind Lucky Lucky Boom with 59.5kg at $3.30. Could measure up with further improvement. |
