Itzabeast has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. TRUE FICTION (2) just missed fresh before a good win last start at Pinjarra. He looks to be hitting his straps now and the claim of Cheung is a big tick. Will handle the soggy conditions and there's no reason why he can't go on with the job. APPARATUS (6) has been finishing strongly in recent efforts, flying home in the Provincial final two weeks ago. The wide draw will probably see him back in the run again, but if he gets some luck in running, he'll be hard to hold out. ITZABEAST (1) stuck on well when leading the field first-up, only being claimed late in the race. Martinan remains in the saddle and he should be better for the fresh run. Expecting him to be in this for a long way. AGE OF GRACE (10) gets Pike in the saddle first-up and can play a leading role on debut. SANDFIRE ROSE (9) won a recent trial coming into this and is not to be discounted despite her fresh record. SUGGESTED PLAY: True Fiction gets the nod.
