Expecting a genuine tempo. NAUGHTY GRANNIE (5) stepped up in trip and sailed home out wide to score a maiden win by nearly 4 lengths. She skips a couple of grades for this, but will carry 2.5kg less, and from a superior gate, we feel she can measure up again. SKYMAX (4) absolutely bolted in here 2 weeks ago, and she won't find this any harder. She even drops half a kilo in weight, and can go back to back. PROMETHEUS (3) was a short priced favourite when having no answer to the second up here last time out. He will carry 3kg less this time, and will continue to improve with more racing. Stick with him. LOVACI (2) had an excuse when getting her tongue over the bit here when finishing fourth behind the second pick last start. She has had a gear change since then, and can't be ruled out of winning this. OPERA BELLE (6) struggled on a testing track at Arawa Park last time out, and with a light weight to carry here, she is worth another chance in a modest field. SUGGESTED PLAY: Naughty Grannie can win again.
