Coral might not get things her own way up front with a few debutants engaged. CORAL (10) showed abundant pace on debut last start over 1000m at this track but couldn't maintain the pressure and faded late in the piece. Should derive great benefit from that outing. Mum and Dad were both Group 1 winners so she lacks nothing in the bloodline department. KRASINA (6) was restrained from a wide gate then let down nicely in the run home to finish fourth when resuming over 1000m here last time out. Competitive in better races than this last prep. Should come into her own over the extra 100m this afternoon. The Waterhouse/Bott stable saddles up a couple of Ole Kirk first starters. DEMERZEL (1) and KINETIC KISS (5) both went to the trials at Gosford on 18 May, with Demerzel running a fraction faster in her heat. Expect the pair to be prominent in the run and they look above average. EXPLOSIVE EXPRESS (2) is a Waller first starter who is a half-sister to triple Derby winner Explosive Jack. Will need more ground but while fresh is not without claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Coral each-way.
